Will Erickson Retractable Ratchet Straps Lock at 6 Feet

Question:
You said they retract to little more than a foot. But will they lock at less than 6? Going over our canoe might be only 4 or 5.

When the Erickson Retractable Tie Down part # EM34415 is fully retracted it measures 13-3/8 inches. I am not sure if you meant to type 6 feet or 6 inches but if 6 inches it would not secure at that length but if 6 feet it would work just fine.
