Is White Wire of Trailer Wiring Most Commonly the Ground Circuit
Updated 08/05/2021 | Published 08/04/2021 >
Question:
I had a red wire and a white wire come loose from the connections. Does the brown connect to the red? And the white to the white?

Helpful Expert Reply:
For trailer wiring the white wire is almost always the ground wire circuit. Since trailer wiring gets redone periodically it's not uncommon for the colors of the wiring to get changed but in general white being ground is the most consistent. Then the brown would be most likely the running light circuit.
