DeeZee has not tested the fit of their Tailgate Assist on the Chevy Avalanche. However, we have heard from several customers that the # DZ43102 tailgate assist worked on their 1st and 2nd generation Avalanche trucks.

@TodS DeeZee states that they haven't tested the # DZ43102 tailgate assist on the 1st or 2nd gen Avalanche. This being said, we have received several reports from customers who have tried it and found it worked great. We can't publicly confirm the fit until DeeZee does. Hope that helps!

@MikeL, I am pleased to report that the DZ43102 tailgate assist fits my 2012 (second generation) Chevy Avalanche perfectly. The locations and sizes of the bolts, wrenches, etc. are identical to the instructions provided. It works great. Thanks very much for your help!
