Which Crossbars for Rhino Rack BackBone System to Use Thule Hullavator

Question:

I am interested in installing two of these units on a Rhino Backbone rack on a 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL hard top. I intend to use the Rhino quick release feet, and would like to know what crossbars would be most appropriate to use that would be compatible with both systems and offer the appropriate clearance for the two kayaks when lowered. The Kayaks are Wilderness Pungo 120s and have a 29 inch beam width.

The best solution to use the Thule Hullavator # TH898 with a Rhino Rack Backbone system would be to use Vortex Aero bars like the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 65" Long - Qty 2 # RRVA165B-2 (if you're using 3 bars on this setup you'll also need to order the # RRVA165B for a single bar). The extra length on these bars compared to the 59" long bars will give you the extra clearance you need to get away from the side of your Jeep with the Hullavator.

You can use the Vortex aero bars with the Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars - RTC and RT Roof Rack Tracks - Qty 6 # RRRLT600-3 and the rubber bases # RRQMFK05 with the Rhino-Rack Backbone Roof Rack Mounting System - Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door # RRRJLB1 to complete your Backbone system for your JL hardtop.
