Upgrading to 13 Tires On a Viking Epic 1906 Pop Up
Updated 07/29/2021 | Published 07/28/2021 >
Question:
Would these tires and wheels be suitable for a 2017 Viking Epic 1906 popup camper? My existing wheels are 5 on 4.5 and the rated weight on the stock tires is 1220.

In order to upgrade from a ST145/12 to a ST175/80-13, you'll need to account for added height and width of 2.7" and 1.1" respectively. You'll need at least 3" from the fender and 1" from the frame for proper fit. If you have this space I recommend going with the Provider ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 13" White Spoke Wheel part # TA43RR because it has a radial ply which is better for highway driving and the powder coated steel wheels are more common for travel trailers.
