Attached is a video of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13171 being installed on a 2017 Jeep Cherokee like yours.
Depending what you are planning on using your trailer hitch receiver for you still may need other components.
For example if you will be towing a trailer you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # 118605, and a hitch ball, ball mount, and hitch pin and clip which can all be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
