Replacement Breakaway Switch for Trailer Breakaway System

Question:

I have a 2010 5th wheel that needs a breakaway switch replacement. Currently has two wires into the truck harness. Pic is of the one I have to replace. Will the Curt Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit with Built-In Battery Charger - Side Load Item # C52042 work ? And if so how do I wire it using only the two wires in the harness ? Thanks

Yes the Curt Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit # C52042 would work as a replacement breakaway switch replacement but it comes with probably more components than you'd need if you only need the switch. Instead you could use the part # 420000 which is a universal switch that can basically fit any system. This would wire in exactly like your current switch. Either wire can be used as the power or ground.
