Fifth Wheel Hitch Install Kit for 2004 Ford F450 with F350 Bed

Question:

I have an 04 F450 long bed Lariat 4WD dually. Is the installation kit the same on the 450 with a 350 bed as on the F350? I have a 16k Husky 5th wheel hitch but not the installation kit.

Reese offers a universal fifth wheel hitch installation kit, part # RP30035 that is compatible with your 2004 F450.

There are some model years where the F350 and the F450 could use the same custom install kit, part # RP50082, but the custom install kit has not been tested on a 2004 model.

If your F450 with the F350 bed on it was originally a cab and chassis truck, the install kit will not work, as the frame layout of cab and chassis models is different. If your truck originally had a bed on it, and you have simply swapped beds, the install kit should work just fine.

The Reese # RP30035 uses industry standard bed rails that would work with your Husky 5th wheel hitch.
