Why Would Blue Ox Patriot Braking System Lock up Tow Vehicle Brakes on Highway

Question:

What would cause the brakes on our towed 2021 1500 Chevy pickup to lock up going down the road at about 45 miles per hour without touching the brakes?

If you are using a Blue Ox Patriot like the part # BLU37TR and the brakes randomly locked up without touching the brakes you must have accidentally pulled the breakaway pin which is making the system think your tow vehicle has come loose and is barreling down the highway and needs to be stopped immediately. Check out the breakaway pin and let me know if that wasn't it.
