Question:
Does the brake controller have any indication of if the trailer brakes are disconnected or if there is a short in the braking system?
asked by: Bill
Helpful Expert Reply:
The knob color of the Tow Pro Liberty part # RED24FR will indicate the two things you mentioned. If a trailer is connected it will light up blue. If the connection is lost the indicator will not show any colors. If there is a short or any other fault it will flash between yellow and red depending on what short is found. If the specific short you mentioned on the brake output circuit is present the indicator will be yellow and then flash the red color twice quickly.
