I spoke to Curt about your Echo Brake Controller # C51180 not connecting to your phone, and they had several suggestions.
First, you will need to check the 2 o'clock position on your 7 Way plug with something like the # C51180. This will be your 12 volt power and will need to have constant 12 volts when the vehicle is on. If you are not getting power, you will want to check your fuses and may need to replace the 7 Way with the Tekonsha # 118266. If you are getting power, you can skip that last part.
Second, you will need to make sure the location services on your phone is turned on. If it is not, it will need to be as it is used to find the controller. Once it is on, turn the vehicle on, connect the trailer, and try to connect again.
This should get you all good to go, but if it does not, let me know and we can try something else.
