We have exactly what you are looking for!

Since your 2003 Nissan Pathfinder already has a 4-way flat connector you will need to add the # ETBC7 to get a 7-way connector. This will plug into your existing 4-way connector and just require a few more connections. The black wire will need to get run to the positive terminal of your battery with the included 40 amp circuit breaker, the white wire will get grounded to the frame, and the blue wire will get extended to where you are planning on installing the trailer brake controller.

If your trailer hitch receiver does not have a built in bracket for the 7-way connector to attach to you will also need no drill mounting bracket # 18140.

For a trailer brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 as it is an extremely reliable controller with awesome features like an easy to read LCD screen, and built in diagnostics that are easy to read and understand.

The # 90195 will get installed by making the following connections:

Black wire from controller to positive terminal of battery with 20 amp circuit breaker if trailer has 1-2 braking axles, or 30 amp circuit breaker if trailer has 3-4 braking axles. These breakers are included with the # ETBC7
White wire from controller to ground
Blue wire from controller to the blue wire you extended from the 7-way connector
Red wire from controller to cold side of stop light switch that only has power when the brake pedal is pressed. Using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 will help you find the correct wire.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
