Question:

I have a 2011 f350 with a factory backup camera monitor built into the mirror. Is the camera kit compatible with the factory mirror or should I get the kit that comes with the mirror?

I went ahead and reached out to the tech at GCH, and he said that in order to get the Custom Third Brake Light Camera for 4.2" Factory Monitor - Night Vision # 3460025 installed with your factory mirror, you have to hotwire the video input and output for the mirror. Normally, a stereo shop would be able to do the install for you if you don't feel comfortable with the installation. With that being done, the # 3460025 is compatible with your 2011 Ford F-350's factory mirror.

The tech at GCH said that an easier option is the Custom Third Brake Light Camera System - Night Vision - 7" Screen # 3460008. This camera system includes an LCD monitor instead of appearing on your factory mirror. The installation of this system is much more doable than the mirror option.
