Question:

Good afternoon! I have a 2015 Subaru Forester with factory rails, and Im interested in purchasing the Thule WingBar Evo roof rack and the Hullavator kayak carrier. I saw one of your previous answers noting that the two are compatible, but my main concern is the length of crossbars that I would need. Currently when I enter my vehicle into your website it suggests 47inch long crossbars TH711220, but will they extend far enough 4-8 past the feet to accommodate the Hullavator? I would be so grateful if you could send me a list of item/part numbers that will help me equip my vehicle. Im also interested in locking mechanisms for both items. I believe in one of your QandAs it was mentioned that you can buy a pack of six locks, that way the same key works for both the roof rack and the Hullavator. Thank you for your time

There are two types of roofs you can have on your 2015 Subaru Forester. You can have raised rails or you can have a naked roof.

If you have raised rails the part list is a little simpler. You'll just need the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711520 you're wanting and these Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401. I gave you the 60 inch crossbars which will give you 4-8 inches past the foot so you can use the Thule Hullavator # TH898.

If you don't have raised rails (Naked Roof), you can get the same 60" Wingbar Evo Rails # TH711520, the Rapid Podium Feet # TH460R and this fit kit # THKIT3079.

With both roof racks, the WingBar Evo Crossbars will connect to the feet. The raised side rail kit will just wrap around your raised side rails and you're done. The naked roof kit will just come with brackets that will fit in your door jambs. Pretty simple either way, I'm sure that you'll have no issues installing them on your roof.

That being said, I have included a couple of videos that you should check out to see how they work! Note that in the videos we are using the 47 inch crossbars so with the 60 inch crossbars you will have much more rail to work with.

Lastly for the locks we have the # TH450600 which is 6 of the Thule One-Key Locks all keyed alike so your towers and Hullavator can be keyed alike.
