Helper Spring Recommendation For Rear End Sag While Towing With 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD PRO
Updated 06/30/2021 | Published 06/29/2021 >
Question:
Tundra TRD PRO, pulling a 36ft 6in travel trailer, WDH, truck squats way to much. I have a 08 with air ride air bag, and not want to go that route with the new truck, because of ride quality. What do you suggest.

If the vehicle still squats even when using weight distribution, my first suspicion would be that the weight distribution system hasn't been set up correctly or the system being used is under-rated for the travel trailer's tongue weight + the weight of anything that's carried in the truck bed behind the rear axle.
I'd suggest revisiting the initial setup to ensure things have been set up correctly. I'd also recommend confirming the the travel trailers fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight, which should include the weight of anything in the truck bed behind its rear axle. You'll want to check that this weight is less than the tongue weight rating of the WDH system you're using.
If this all checks out okay, then the RoadActive Suspension system you'd looked at, part # RAS34FR is what I'd recommend going with. Not only will this system counteract the sag you're experiencing, it will also eliminate wheel hop and axle wrap as well as reducing body roll during turns and vehicle sway.
