Question:
if you connect the go power 3000 IC to a lithium Ion Batt do you need to attach the battery monitor that is supplied with the 3000 IC? or is that just for lead acid battery applications?

If you are referring to the battery temp monitor on the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger, # 34275013, then yes you should. The temperature sensor installs to the negative battery terminal then connects to the battery temperature port on the inverter charger. This inverter should be installed near the battery bank but not in the same compartment.
