Installation Difficulty for AirLift 1000 Rear Helper Springs, part # AL60732, in 2004 Toyota Sienna

Question:

Hi there experts, I was wondering the level of difficulty to install these airbags in the back of Toyota Sienna? I have a 2004 Sienna and need to bring the rear end of her up when I am towing my camper trailer. I am fairly handy and have most tools, is this something I can do on my own, do the airbags come with an installation manual? Do you need any specialized tools or do the bags slip into the springs core without any heavy removal of suspension THanks for your time,

To install the AirLift 1000 Rear Helper Springs, part # AL60732, in your 2004 Toyota Sienna you will need to either jack up the rear of the vehicle or raise it on a hoist and support the vehicle frame with safety stands. This is necessary to allow the rear suspension to fully extend for insertion of the helper springs. It is not necessary to dismantle the suspension system. Apart from this you will need only basic tools.

Installation consists of slipping the deflated air spring cylinder between the turns of the rear coil springs, seating them with the protector disk and routing, securing and connecting the air lines. The air lines must be carefully placed to avoid heat damage from exhaust components and pinching/crimping from moving suspension parts. Once installed, initial inflation to 35 lbs psi should take place with the vehicle not under load to allow the air cylinder to freely expand and mesh with the coil springs.

Please note that addition of an air spring does not increase the tow vehicle weight rating. The springs must be maintained with a minimum pressure of at least 5 lbs psi at all times or you may void the limited lifetime warranty. (Their maximum inflation pressure is 35 lbs psi.)
