I would be happy to help!
I looked up your order and it looks like you purchased the following products:
7-way Connector # ETBC7
4-way Connector # C56210
Curt Discovery Trailer Brake Controller # C84VV
Curt Wiring Adapter # C51515
Now it looks like your 2017 Chevrolet Equinox does not have the factory trailer connector. If that is the case then the # C56210 you ordered will not work as it is designed for vehicles with the factory trailer connector. You would need the # C56594 instead. This plugs inline of your tail lights to power the 4-way connector.
Once the 4-way connector is installed you will then install the # ETBC7 which will plug into the 4-way connector, and will require a few more connections. You will run the black wire to the positive terminal of your battery with the included 40 amp circuit breaker, ground the white wire to the frame, and run the blue wire underneath the dash where you are planning on installing the controller.
Now to install the Curt Discovery # C84VV you will need to first wire the # C51515 as follows:
Black wire run to positive terminal of battery with included 20 amp circuit breaker
White wire to ground
Blue wire to blue wire you ran from 7-way connector
Red wire to cold side of stop light switch that only has power when the brake pedal is pressed. The # PTW2993 you purchased will make finding the correct wire a breeze.
Once the adapter is wired you will just need to mount the controller and plug it in.
