The Curt # C13154 Class III hitch install on a 2011 Acura RDX is pretty straightforward. One a difficulty scale of 1-10 with 1 being very simple and 10 being very difficult, we rated this install as a 4. We estimate a trained technician would take about 40 minutes to complete the install, or roughly double that for the typical do-it-yourselfer.
The only tools you'll need is a metric socket set and a torque wrench.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing purposes, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # 118500, a ball mount like # D-28, a hitch pin like # PC3 and # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch trailer ball.
I've linked to the installation instructions and an install video showing the Curt # C13154 hitch being installed on a 2011 Acura RDX like yours.
