Helpful Expert Reply:

The Dexter 8-201 is a common 12 x 2 inch hub/drum used on 5,200 or 6,000 lb capacity axles. The 23-324 left hand hydraulic brake assembly you mentioned would certainly be compatible. You would also need the right hand assembly, part # 23-325.

For a marine application, I would recommend the Demco 12x2 Marine Hydraulic Brake Assembly, part # 23510 for the right side, and # 23511 for the left. These brake assemblies feature galvanized backing plates and stainless steel spring hardware.
