Question:

I am really struggling getting the Saris Bones EX3 to attach tightly to my Ford Escape 2019. It seems like no matter where I put it, once the bikes are loaded, the weight alters its position. I then re-tighten the straps but once Im on the freeway, the car bouncing leads to the bottom straps coming loose! I dont know if I should bring the center tube closer to the car or further away and the instructions dont really help. I also dont know the best order to tighten the straps if there is one. If you have any pictures of the arm positions of the rack while on the back of 2019 Ford Escape, please send them along. Please help!

When installing the Saris Bones EX 3 Bike Rack # SA803 on your 2019 Ford Escape, Saris recommends using Saris Hatch Huggers # SA3035 which will replace your current bottom straps. These straps will do a better job of attaching to your trunk rather than the included bottom straps which are coming loose on your vehicle. I attached a short demonstration video for you.
