It will be simple to replace your Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885 with a P3 # 90195 in your 2008 Sierra 2500.
The existing wiring should plug into the back of the P3. The only difference would be the mounting bracket. You may need to remove the existing screws and replace them with the provided screws from the P3 with the correct spacing in order to mount the bracket.
