We can get you set up with the perfect option for a weight distribution hitch with sway control for your 4,800 lb GVWR trailer. First let's talk about he correct rating, and it isn't double the capacity of the hitch or hitch weight, the right system is going to be one in which your loaded tongue weight falls in the middle of the weight distribution system's tongue weight capacity. And since tongue weight is in the 12 to 13 percent range of your trailer's GVWR, your trailer's tongue weight is going to be about 600 lbs.

If you go with a system that's too highly rated, you will have a very stiff, uncomfortable ride, and won't give you more control, it will just cause stiffness and a bouncy trailer. So for your 4,800 lb GVWR trailer, the option I highly recommend is from Fastway:

I really like the Fastway for a number of reasons, starting with its superior sway control, which is created by friction at two points on the brackets and is going to give you a more controlled, safer ride than other hitches. It uses brackets which clamp onto your trailer frame, and those make the e2 easier to set up than most chain-style systems, which is something you mentioned wanting.

It comes with a shank but you will need a hitch ball as well, with the correct one depending on your trailer's coupler:

The answer to this is yes, a 4-point sway control hitch will indeed give you more sway control compared to a 2-point system. The reason for this is the 4-point system offers resistance at both the arms and in the head unit, while the 2-point systems offer control at the brackets. In general, 4-point systems are used for larger trailers with higher tongue weights, and I recommended the 2-point Fastway # FA92-00-0800 as it will offer enough sway prevention at a better cost. That said, if you want the most possible sway prevention, you can certainly go that route, and for your 600 lb tongue weight, the 4-point system I like the most is from Blue Ox: - Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution with Sway Control # BXW0750 The Blue Ox is quiet because it is a chain-style system, and also easy to use because once you clamp on the brackets, you insert the chains into them and just tighten them with the provided wrench.
