How Much Further Forward Does B and W Companion Slider Sit in Front of Ball Hole

Question:

How long is the base on the slider hitch. Is it same length as the standard fifth wheel hitch BandW makes. I have a fuel tank in my short bed and want to change to a slider if it will fit.

The B and W Companion hitch slider base # BWRVB3405 sits a total of 15 inches in front of the center of the gooseneck ball hole you have in the bed of your truck. You'd need to measure 15 inches forward of your ball hole now and you'd know where the rail kit would set and if it would interfere with the fuel tank.
