Question:

Just replaced the magnetic door switch on our screen door which controls our Lippert operating steps When the door is closed the step extends. When the door is open the step retracts. Ive connected the wires both ways and get the same results

I am not totally sure why but Lippert has two different types of magnetic door switches that work opposite of each other. One switch setup completes a circuit when they are connected magnetically and the other setup opens a circuit when they are connected magnetically. So what that ends up doing if you order the wrong set is the steps work opposite of the way you'd like them to.

I am not sure which switch you ordered but if you have the # LC301694 now you'd instead need the # LC369299 and vice versa.
