Replacement Front Wheel Cradle for Thule T2

Question:
Does the wheel Cradle have attachment points for the T2 Wheel straps?
asked by: Chris F
Expert Reply:
There are not typically straps on the front cradle of the Thule T2, so the # 853-5958 will not have attachment points for any straps. The front wheel is secured with the ratcheting arm of the T2 with downward pressure and no need for a strap on the wheel; the rear wheel simply sits in the cradle and is secured with the strap.
If you wanted to replace the rear cradle instead that is not sold as a standalone part- you would need to purchase a new front and rear replacement cradles with the Fat Tire Adapter Kit for Thule T2 Platform-Style Bike Rack # TH919.
