Question:
Does the recommended LED Light Kit # 98174LED with etrailer.com License Plate and Tail Light Mounting Brackets # e98943-44 use a 7-pin electrical plug? If not, which lighting kit would you recommend that connects to a 7-way plug and work for the Curt carrier C18151?

Expert Reply:
You are correct that for the Curt Cargo Carrier, part # C18151, the compatible LED Light Kit, part # 98174LED, and the etrailer.com License Plate and Tail Light Mounting Brackets, part # e98943-44.
The Light Kit uses a 4-way to connect to your vehicle's electrical system. To use this with your 7-way, you will need an adapter. I recommend the Adapter 7 Pole to 4 Pole with Tester and Cover, part # 47345. It will plug into your 7-way and allows you to plug the Light Kit's 4-way in.
I've linked to a video review of the adapter below.
