What if My Trunk Accidentally Opens with Bike Racks Mounted?

Question:
Im curious if my 2016 Honda pilot rear hatch would start opening if I accidentally pushes button on key fob with a bike rack in place.

Whether the trunk opens on your 2016 Honda Pilot ultimately depends on if the combined weight of the rack and the bikes is more than the weight of the force behind the mechanism that opens the trunk. If you are using the Yakima FullBack 3 Bike Rack # Y02633, I would take an educated guess that the trunk would not open.
