Curt Echo Brake Controller Brakes Locked Constantly

Question:
I just installed the Curt Echo brake controller and it is continuously breaking even if the power level is set to a maximum of. I am unable to tow my camper because its constantly in brake mode. I dont understand why.

Expert Reply:
According to the manual it says that this occurs when the 7-way is not properly wired. You will need to ensure that 7-way on your vehicle and trailer are wired correctly for the Curt Echo # C51180 to function properly.
I have attached pictures below for both connections. Do not concern yourself so much with the wiring colors but be sure that the correct functions are in their place.
