Question:

Hi, I have a 4 flat to 5 flat need. But, I think I just need the blue wire. Is that part sold separately from the full harness kit? Because my trailer connects now, but with me bypassing the blue wire. My boat trailer has this medal plug I can use to allow for backing up and bypassing the blue wire. So, I do not think I need the other part of the hardness unless there is a reason. Thanks

I recommend installing the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter # C57187 as this will allow you use the electric reverse lockout that is on the trailer rather than having to insert and remove the manual lockout when you do back up. And in the future if you tow a trailer that may not have a manual lockout the electric lockout may be the only option.

The Blue Wire # DW02414-1 connects to the Adapter # C57187 with the Snap Plug Connectors # DW05729-1, and # DW05712-1.
