Question:
The instructions say to remove bolts on torsion bar mounts. The Samurai does not have torsion bars. It has front leaf springs. Where does the base plate mount with the leaf springs and what other changes are there to mount it to the vehicle? Thanks.

We do have an option for a base plate for your 1987 Suzuki Samurai with front leaf springs (with the only exception being if you have a brush guard), though I reached out to Roadmaster who said the # 1003-1 will not fit that chassis. So instead, what you will need is an option from Blue Ox:
- Blue Ox Base Plate # BX3501.
I have added a link below to the installation instructions for you, and in them you can see that the base plate installs to the side of the chassis on the frame rails. Along with the base plates, you will also need a tow bar, wiring kit, and supplemental braking system.
- Curt Rambler Steel Tow Bar for Curt and Blue Ox Base Plates # C26FR
- Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs # RM-155
- Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39494
I have added some links below to video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.
