Difficulty Setting Up Curt C51180 Echo Wireless Brake Controller on 2019 Ford Ranger

Question:
Hi, What is the specific procedure to activate this controller on my 2019 Ford Ranger. Sometimes the break ring will light up when the breaks are applied sometimes it will not. I know there is a specific sequence to hooking up the trailer and pairing the phone. It seems if I don’t get it right it doesn’t work. Sometimes it will come on 15 minutes into the trip. I have had also lock the trailer breaks up as well. Thank you

According to Curt, there isn't anything specific about your Ranger that would change the setup procedure of the Curt # C51180 Echo wireless brake controller. My contact at Curt recommends deleting the app from your phone, clearing cache in your phone's browser then reinstalling the app which should solve the problem you're experiencing. This sometimes occurs when the app updates.
