Question:
I have a 2015 30 ft travel trailer I tow it with a 2013 Dodge 4x4 with the Hemi engine. When I apply the brakes the trailer skids every time my truck has a factory electronic brake control system built into the truck with different settings Ive tried all settings and still no luck any ideas? This just became an issue on my last trip

It sounds like you may have one of two issues, unless you had your brakes serviced recently. If the brakes were recently serviced they may have been adjusted too tight which is what may be causing your issue. You can always check your brake adjustment using our article linked below.
The first thing may be the brake magnets on the trailer were damaged. I have linked an article below that is very helpful in determining if you have a faulty brake magnet in your system. To test these you will need a Multimeter # PT89ZR. The first test will involve checking the amperage coming from the brake controller to the trailer. If you have tandem braking axles you should see between 15-16.3 amps at 12-13 volts. If different you will need to test the individual magnets. The article will walk you though the entire process.
If the magnets are all testing correctly then I believe that you may have a faulty brake controller in your truck. Since you have an OEM controller I recommend letting the experts at Dodge/Ram test that part.
