I have a solution for you, but the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" # 36501 is not confirmed to fit any variation of the 2019 Ford Escape. If you would like to stick with a Class 2 1-1/4" receiver then I would go with Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" # 36529. This is rated for a max tongue weight of 300lbs and max towing capacity of 3,500lbs. While this is a great option if you have 1-1/4" accessories, I do recommend going with a 2" receiver instead as it would be compatible with a larger variety of hitch-mounted accessories and provide a higher weight capacity.

For a 2" option, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75782. This has a max tongue weight of 525lbs and max towing capacity of 3,5000lbs or 5,000lbs when used with weight distribution system. Hands-free Liftgate option will work with both of these receivers.
