Question:

This is the right size axle to replace my axle on a 1979 Dilly boat trailer. However, the current tires on my trailer are 4.80-8 ~16inch outside diameter. The wheels suggested for this axle are 13-15inch diameter, which have tire outside diameters of 24inch or greater, which may be too big to fit under my fenders. What 5 on 4 1/2 tire would you recommend that would fit under my fenders? Can I go with a 12inch wheel?

The hubs of the # CE33201GA-HUB have a mounting flange that is only compatible with wheels that are between 13 and 15 inch in diameter. The smallest diameter 13 inch trailer tire is 175/80-13 which has a diameter of 24.1 inches like the # AM31991 which has the 5 lug bolt pattern.

If you could move your fenders up to gain additional fender clearance that would be one solution.
