Question:
Hi there! I have been researching a hitch rack for a 2015 Toyota Tundra that would carry a men’s Electra Townie and another Cruiser style bicycle. We originally purchased a Thule t2 Pro xt and then returned it because we had forgotten to factor in fenders. What are your favorite rack/racks for this type of situation and bonus if we can still access the bed as we will have two more bikes being hauled inside of the bed. Thanks in advance!! Amanda

The Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # TH903202 would be a great choice for both 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch hitches. It has a tilting mechanism that can tilt with bikes on the rack, and the rack secures the bikes with independently detachable arms that can be repositioned anywhere along the frame . It also features ratcheting straps to secure your bike's wheels to the rack. Since it attaches to the bike frame as opposed to the tires, you. This rack comes with locks for the rack and the bikes
If you need the bike rack to extend out of the way of the bed to get the other bikes, you can buy the Yakima Backswing Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y02483. It would reduce your capacity by 50%.
If you need a hitch that is guaranteed to fit your 2015 Toyota Tundra, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III 2 Inch Hitch # 13198 for the weight capacity you need.
For mounting an Electra Townie from a frame-mounted rack, you will most likely need a bike frame adaptor in order to hold the alternative-style frame. The Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005 will do the trick. As long as the measurements from the handlebar post to the seat post are between 24-3/8 inches to 33-3/4, you will be good to go.
