First check to make sure that your iPhone is up to date on its software updates. Then check to make sure you have the most up to date version of the Curt Echo App. You will want to make sure that your bluetooth connection is on and the Curt App has permission to use bluetooth.
If you have a 2015 or newer Ford F-150 you may require additional parts or steps. Please let me know if that is the case.
When you insert the Curt Echo # C51180 into your 7-way you should see a flashing blue light(vehicle needs to be running or ignition on and in park). If you see a red light or no light there is something else wrong with the connection. With the light flashing blue you will need to open the Curt App and scan for the device. You will then be prompted to enter the 6 digit PIN found under the cap or in the quick reference card. Once paired the light will turn solid blue and you are ready to plug in your trailer.
