2016 Mazda CX-5 Curt Wiring Harness Troubleshooting
Updated 04/02/2021 | Published 03/31/2021 >
Question:
Hi I installed curt wiring harness for 2016 cx-5. Worked for six months without a problem. Tail lights have stopped working on the vehicle side per tester. Vehicle lights all work fine. Turn signals do work on trailer - per tester. Is there a fuse in the harness cant find it or is this more likely a connection issue Ive rechecked connections? Thanks for any advice.

If it were a bad fuse then nothing would work at all. It sounds to me like you either have a pinch or cut in one of the wires and it finally went bad or that you have a bad pin. I would recheck the pins and inspect the wiring for any defects.
I recommend using Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors, 2 oz. Item # 11755 to prevent any corrosion on your connector pins.
