Question:
do you have a recommendation for someone from the San Francisco Bay Area or Santa Cruz to install a brake controller like this Redarc unit and the 7-point connector on our 2007 Jeep Wrangler which already has the factory 4-pin tow kit.

I would be happy to help!
Starting with the 7-way connector I recommend the # ETBC7 which will plug into the 4-way connector you have on your 2007 Jeep Wrangler and will require the following additional connections:
Black wire to positive terminal of vehicle battery with included 40 amp circuit breaker
White wire grounded to frame
Blue wire to trailer brake controller
The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR you were looking at is an awesome choice due to it being super low profile making it look like a factory install. To install the # RED44FR you will need to make the following connections:
Black wire to positive terminal of vehicle battery with 30 amp circuit breaker included with # ETBC7
White wire to ground
Blue wire to blue wire of # ETBC7
Red wire to cold side of stop light switch that only has power when the brake pedal is applied. Using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 will help find the correct wire.
While we do not have any recommended installers in your area, a local reputable automotive repair shop will be able to complete the install without a problem.
I included a video of both being installed on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler for you to take a look at.
