Thank you for your business!
The Curt Hitch Extender for 2" Hitch Receivers - 8" Long # C45791 you purchased has a maximum tongue weight rating of 350lbs, and a maximum trailer weight rating of 3500lbs, but also reduces the capacities of the trailer hitch receiver installed on your 2020 Ford Expedition by 50%.
As long as your trailer hitch receiver has a 7000lb or higher towing capacity, and your boat trailer does not exceed 350lbs tongue weight or 3500lbs trailer weight you will not have an issue.
If you find your capacities are reduced below 3500lbs then I recommend using an extra long ball mount like the Brophy Ball Mount for 2" Hitch - 3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 13-1/4" Long - 10,000 lbs # BM20 which will give you the extra length you are needing while not reducing the capacities of your receiver.
With this option you will need a hitch ball with a 1" shank diameter like the 1-7/8" # C40002, 2" # 40038, or 2-5/16" # BWHB94001 to match the coupler on your trailer.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
