Recommended Kayak And Canoe Roof Top Carrier For Toyota RAV-4 With Factory Crossbars

Question:
We own both a kayak and a canoe and want to be able to carry them on top of a Rav4 with factory-installed roof rack. They would be carried separately, not at the same time. Right now were looking at Malone seawings with load assist for the kayak. Can that be easily removed if we need to put a canoe up there? And is there a carrier that would convert to carry a canoe from kayak? Thanks!

The Malone SeaWing Kayak Carrier and Load Assist w/ Tie-Downs - Rear Loading - Clamp On # MPG113MD can absolutely be removed easily from the factory crossbars on your Toyota RAV4 when you are wanting to carry a canoe instead.
When you are ready to carry your canoe I recommend using the Malone Canoe Carrier with Tie-Downs - Foam Block Style # MPG156 which will protect your canoe from running on your crossbars, and the included tie downs will keep it secure on the roof of your RAV4.
