Will Thule Hullavator Fit Factory Roof Rack on 2024 Toyota RAV4

Question:

Hi, I am purchasing a new Rav4 Hybrid and want to attach a Hullevator on top. Should I get the factory installed rack, or after market? Thanks!

Hi Mary; the Thule Hullavator # TH898 requires crossbars that extend 4" - 8" beyond the feet of the roof rack. Unless the 2024 Toyota RAV4 factory roof rack meets this requirement (I doubt it does) you're looking at an aftermarket roof rack. If you can let me know if your RAV4 has a naked roof, flush mounted rails, or factory installed raised rails I would be happy to recommend a roof rack that will work with the Hullavator.

Hi Robin, I haven't actually purchased the car yet, and I'm wondering whether or not it is best order the rails for the car in order for the Hullavator to work. Do you have a recommendation?

@Mary I would get it with either the flush rails or the raised rails since that gives you more options for racks. Personally, I would get the flush rails so it doesn't add extra height, especially since you want to carry kayaks.
