Hi, I have a 2006 Dodge Ram mega cab that I would like to put crossbars on the roof of to haul kayaks. Are there any clamp on options for this installation?

We have a couple of options for you, though I checked with all the roof rack manufacturers and there are no clamp-on roof rack fits for your 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab. If you did want to go with a roof rack, the only option is from SeaSucker, which is a vacuum-mounted rack, the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack # 298-SX6000B.

This is just as strong as a standard roof rack, using vacuum cups that attach to your roof which makes it really easy to take on and off so it's really convenient. The other option would be to add a ladder rack, and for that there is a really nice cost-effective option for your 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab that will allow you to easily carry your kayaks, the Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack # EM07706.
