Question:

I am looking at purchasing a 2015 Nissan xterra, but need to know if I can use a hullavator on it. I used your online info, and it didnt show up for that vehicle. Then I put in the other two vehicles Im considering, Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot and it didnt say it could be used on those either. Thank you.

The Thule Hullavator Pro - Lift Assist Kayak Carrier # TH898 will work with roof racks that have at least 4" of crossbar extending beyond the crossbar feet/legs. It also requires a minimum of 130lb capacity for the roof and crossbars, so you will want to check the owner's manual to verify your vehicle's roof capacity.

The longest crossbar available for your vehicle is the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA118B-2 with Legs # RRSX008. Since this is 46" long, you will want to take the minimum of 4" overhang on each side away from the overall length, giving you 38". You will need to measure from the center of one factory roof rail to the next roof rail on your 2015 Nissan Xterra; I have attached a diagram showing this measurement. If this measurement is less than 38" and your roof has a weight capacity of at least 130lbs then the Hullavator Pro Kayak Lift will work for you.
