Question:
Looking for roof racks for a 2017 Chevrolet Bolt. Naked roof. I want the type of roof racks that have a gap in the middle so that I can use bolts or screws. Which kind of roof racks should I use?

By 'gap', I'm assuming you're meaning the T-slot or groove in the top of the crossbar that allows certain roof rack accessories to install, rather than clamping around the crossbar, is that correct?
If that's the case, I'd recommend a Yakima JetStream roof rack, which would be assembled from the following parts:
• Yakima JetStream 50 inch crossbars in silver as part # Y00425 for black
• Yakima BaseLine towers, part # Y28TR
• Vehicle Specific fit clips # Y06123
• Vehicle Specific fit clips # Y06181
As mentioned above, this rack is compatible with rack mounted accessories that clamp around a 3-1/2 wide by 1 inch tall crossbar or accessories that mount via the T-slot in the top of the crossbar.
The Yakima # Y00421 CoreBars you'd looked at don't feature the T-slot, so you wouldn't want to go that route.
