Why Does Draw-Tite DT79MR Not Require Lift Gate Relocation But Curt C13397 Does On 2019 Honda CR-V

Question:
I have a 2019 Honda CR-V Touring with the hands free liftgate. I was looking at an answer page which says to reposition the sensor in the plastic tubing. Also, the Curt appears to be the exact same shape. Why does the Draw-Tite one work without the need to buy a relocation kit, but the Curt says you need to buy the special Honda kit? It is something special, like a drilled hole in the bottom of Draw-Tite that I cant see in the pictures to reposition the sensor? Looking forward to you reply.

The reason the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13397 for your 2019 Honda CR-V requires you to use the lift gate sensor relocation bracket and the Draw-Tite # DT79MR does not is due to the crosstube to sitting lower which allows you to move the antenna on the lift gate sensor with the included plastic tubing to retain function of the sensor.
We have not had a chance to install the # DT79MR yet so I do not have a video to show you, but I did include the written instructions that go over the installation process and a video of the # C13397 being installed for you to take a look at.
