I suggest the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195. The P3 is extremely user friendly, levels automatically, has constant diagnostic checks and contains safeguards which defend your controller against shorts. This is truly one of the easier units to install and and use and why our customers currently have it at a 4.9 star rating with with well over 4K reviews. I've added links to video reviews of the P3 for you.
If your truck does not already have a 7-Way installed, I suggest the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7.
