Question:

Have a Yamaha WR250R 299#. Have a hitch on back of a Four Winds Class C motorhome. Hitch limit is 500# tongue wt. The hitch does look like it was made for the motorhome and not something borrowed from another applicaiton. The motorhome is a 24 ft. The frame of the E450 Ford frame is extended from the original Ford frame to be able to build the RV on the frame. Question #1. Do you think the hitch is adequate to accomodate the bike rack. Question #2. The RV is wider than a pickups so I think tail lites visibility should better than a pickup. Do you have customers add additional lites or do customers just use original vehicle lites? Any photos of your hitch on a Class C motorhome?

As long as the trailer hitch on your Four Winds motorhome has a 500 lb tongue weight capacity, you will be able to haul your Yamaha WR250R motorcycle.

I recommend looking at the Ultra-Fab Motorcycle Carrier, # UF48-979033. This carrier only weighs approximately 50 lbs, has a weight capacity of 500 lbs, and is approved for use behind motorhomes. The total tongue weight of this carrier plus your bike would be approximately 350 lbs on your trailer hitch.

Additional tail lights are typically not needed with motorcycle carriers because the tail lights are still visible through the wheel spokes or under the fenders. Motorcycle carriers are not really designed to support additional lights, so it would be up to the user to find a way to mount a set of lights on the carrier if they wanted to do so.

To determine if you will need additional lights, you can measure the length of your motorcycle and compare that to the width of your tail lights on your motorhome to see if they will interfere. If you determine you will need additional lights, you may need lights that use brackets like the LED OVAL 6-1/2 Inch Lights, # STL22RB, the Mounting Bracket, # BK70BB, Grommet, # a70gb, a wire plug, # A47PB, a 4-way wire harness, # 18004, and butt connectors, # 05731-5.
