Question:

I want to buy one of your hitches or bike racks but the info on your website is contradictory and confusing as to whether your products REAlly fits my car, a 2017 Lexus ES 300. When I put that model in I get answers for different models or answers that are very contradictory. There doesn’t seem to be anywhere for me to submit a question other than here Thanks

If you select your vehicle on our fit guide, it will show that the only receiver hitch confirmed to fit your 2017 Lexus ES 300h is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11362. This is a high quality hitch with strong powder coat paint to prevent rust and corrosion. With a max towing capacity of 2,000lbs and max tongue weight of 200lbs, this will be more than enough for your vehicle. This is a class 1 hitch that only allows up to 2 bikes to be carried on a bike rack.

Curt states that you need to use a stabilizer strap on all non-trailered loads in order to reduce bounce and evenly distribute the weight. The Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap # 18050 would work great.

I would go with the Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack # TH9058. This rack easily folds up when not in use, and also features a tilting mechanism that gives you access to your trunk. With a weight of 28lbs and weight capacity of 75lbs, this would put you at about 103lbs which is well under the 200lb tongue weight limit for the Curt hitch. It could then carry two bikes with a max for each bike of 37-1/2 lbs each.

The Thule Snug Tite Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2 is also a great product; this will keep your bike carrier locked to your hitch and also reduce rattle.
