Question:
We have a 2019 Kia Sorento with a towing capacity of 5k. We would like to pull our 16’ Scamp trailer with it. The Scamp uses a 2” ball and the ball hitch height for the 16-footer needs to be about 21” trailer weight is approximately 2,500 lbs. Our Sorento has a class III hitch. It is is 11” from the pavement to the bottom of the 2” receiver. The center of the receiver hitch pin to the back of the bumper is a distance of about 6”. What do I need to be looking at to make this work? I would like to try to find an adjustable hitch. Is it possible to find an adjustable hitch that moves in 1” no more than 2” increments and has a rise that will reach the Scamp 21 ball height? Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks for all of the measurements and details! So the correct amount of rise you'd need would be right at 5 inches based on that. The Curt Adjustable Ball Mount part # C45901 can do the 5 inches of rise you need and also has it's adjustable increments in 1 inch like you are wanting as well.
Check out the review video I attached for more info as well.
